Senior Profiles

Liam Wood
Liam has been a member of the CF Track Program for 6 years and also a member of our soccer and Cross Country Teams as well as Indoor Track.  He plans to attend SUNY ESF to pursue a degree in National Resource Management.  He has ran every distance event that is offered and says his favorite event is the 3200 Meter Run because it involves so much strategy and is so satisfying to compete in… Liam wants to thank his parents for always supporting him and watching (even in the long meets), he would like to thank Michaela for being his biggest fan and Delaney for fun stops at Dollar General.  And lastly all his coaches, especially Coach Groover for his dedication, coaching knowledge, and friendship...those are things he will never forget.  He would like to tell younger athletes to trust in the process and don’t forget to Groover a hard time.  He wanted to specifically shout out Quinn, Kayleigh, and Conway… “Your friendship is worth so much to me and I am going to miss our therapy run… love you guys!

Dom Panko
This Dom’s first year running track… He plans to attend Keuka College with a major in Political Science and History.  Among his favorite memories were running the Steeple for the first time and getting absolutely drenched.  His favorite pre meet snack is Brozetti’s Pizza.  He said the reason he signed up for track was that he may or may not have been threatened by Connor.  He would like to thank his parents and track coaches for supporting me and helping me through my first and last year of track.

Crystianna Talbot
This is Crystianna’s sixth year in Track and Field.  She plans to attend Brockport to study Criminal Justice.  Her favorite memory was Coach Sansev running like a gazelle.  She would like to thank er family and friend that have believed in her.  She would like to remind the underclassmen to stay positive and to stay focused and maybe try Cool Ranch Doritos as a pre-meet snack.

Brooke Johnson
This is Brooke’s first year doing Track and Field.  She is going to attend SUNY Broome for the Liberal Arts Program.  She does both the Hurdles and High Jump, but prefers the High Jump because it is less stressful and she can watch other people compete.  Her most memorable moment was tripping over two hurdles in a row against Oneonta.  Brooke would like to thank Coach Motell for putting the idea of track into her head, Coach Ford for randomly teaching her how to high jump, Coach Gumble for working with her so much on hurdles and to the team for making this season so fun!  Especially fun was Suzy Q’s after practice with Aliana and Quinn!  Brooke said “I wish I got into track sooner.  It’s a great program and super fun to be a part of…I’m so thankful for the memories I have made this season and am so glad I met new people!”

Corbin Fetterman
This is Corbin’s third year in track at CF and he has also been a diver throughout high school.  Corbin plans on attending Alfred State as a Mechatronics Technology Major.  His favorite event was the Discus because it is so rewarding when you learn to do it properly.  His favorite memory was making friends with throwers from our team and other teams.  He would like to give a shout out to Coach Paske and Coach SanSev for helping him throw the best he could!

Cameron O’Brien
This is Cam’s second year of Track and Field.  He plans on attending Alfred State to study Heavy Equipment Operations.  His favorite track memory was throwing three faults in Disc last year at Parkhurst.  Cam would like to thank his parents for supporting him throughout his high school career, his coaches for giving him the knowledge and his teammates for always keeping it real.  Lastly he would like to add Roll Forks. 

Ty Near
Ty had been a member of Track and Field for two years and has also been a member of our XC and Hockey Teams.  Ty plans on attending RIT to study computing security.  His favorite memory  was running the 4 by Mile at Ithaca with wet shoes and he would like to thank his teammates that have kept him sane during runs and his fellow steeplechasers that suffered through that event with him.  His advice to the underclassmen would be “Have as much fun as you can and don’t worry about not breaking a PR every meet.”  Lastly Ty’s favorite pre meet snack was Wendy’s 4 for 4, Big Mac, Onion  Rings, Super Sonic Bacon Double Cheeseburger and chocolate cake with a root beer.

Cade Mulesky
This is Cade’s first year in track and field.  He plans on attending Cortland majoring in Business Economics.  He also competed in gold this year and wants to make a special shout out to his CF Hokey team for winning back to back championships.  Cade’s favorite memory was watching his brother Kellen come back from behind to win the 800 against CV.  Cade would like to thank his parents for making it to almost all his meets and supporting him especially in this new sport. 

Lucas McPeak
This is Lucas’s sixth year on Varsity Track.  He plans on majoring in conservation biology and likely work for the Fish and Wildlife Service, starting at SUNY Broome.  Lucas would like to thank the coaches that have been a part of the best days of his life for six years.  Coach Motell, Coach Groover, Coach Gumble, Coach Frazure, Coach Paske, Coach SanSev and Coah Ford.  I’ll never forget the memories you guys helped me create, and I appreciate the time you invested.  Lucas also was on our XC and Indoor teams and he said, “I can’t imagine who I would be if I never decided to give these sports a try.  The memories I’ve created with all these teams will be a source of happiness for to smile back at whenever I feel down.”  He would like to thank his fellow captains for helping him serve as a leader and for their support.  Lucas said, “I can’t imagine a better way to end my career or a better group to end it with.”

Alaina Gumble
Alaina has been on track for 3 years, was a member of the first ever wrestling team at Forks and was also on the Sectional champion XC Team.  She plans on attending Binghamton University on a Pre-Med Track.  Her favorite memory was running the 4 by 8 Steeple with Quinn, Audra, and Pipher and going to States in 2022.  She would like to thank all the coaches… “Groover for kicking me off distance last year, and my parents for always being there and supporting me and to Motell for always believing in us.”  A special shoutout to Quinn for being a great leader through track and XC and answering all Groover and Motell’s questions with me.

Aubrey Bough
Aubrey has been on track for four years.  She also runs XC and plays soccer and basketball.  She plans on attending the University of Vermont to play soccer and study public health sciences.  Her favorite memory was of Chich running into the pole on Katelville, getting stuck and ripping her shirt.  Her favorite venue was Ithaca mainly because her and Lauren won back to back championships at the Relays.  She would like to thank her parents for always being her biggest supporters, her sister for convincing her not to play la because she copies everything Emma does.  And thank you to the whole coaching staff for making this year of track so memorable.  There are no other people in the world who could convince me to run a 4 by 8.  Aubrey would like to send a shoutout to Quinn for “helping me become interested in running in 2020,” and to Kathryn for being the upmost best running group partners for the past two years.  She would like to remind underclassmen to talk a lot on recovery runs…the people you meet will become your best friends.    

Thomas Kapinus
TK has been in track for six years and also in Boys Scouts, XC, Swimming and Broome’s Triathlon Club.  He plans n attending LeMoyne College to study Pre-Law and Economics and plans on competing in a fill Ironman.  His favorite event to compete in was the 400H because it is the perfect blend of sprinting, endurance, and agility.  He would like to thank all his coaches he has worked with, Coach Gumble for giving the hurdling tips, Aunt Christine for showing up every meet, and his parents for the love and support.  TK wants to remind everyone that if you get injured in track to show up and meets and practices and help out.  It makes a tremendous difference to the team. 

Braxton DePersiis
Braxton has done Track for two years and is also on the swimming team at Forks.  His favorite event was shot put, but his favorite memory was getting his PR in Discus.  He would like to remind everyone to try whatever event you like, but try your hardest.  He said he will miss how fun track has been and thinks the best pre-meet snack is Peanut Butter Crackers.

Kathryn White
Kathryn has been on track for six years and is also a member of the wrestling team, Indoor Track and XC.  Her favorite memory was taking shelter at Vestal and then PRing in the 3000 in the pouring rain the same day her nephew was born.  She plans on attending SUNY Broome to study Environmental Science and then head to Binghamton University to eventually become a sustainability specialist.  Kathryn would like to thank her parents and siblings for showing up at every single one of her meets, to her sister Lauren for teaching her to pole vault, to Garrett and his parents for being my motivation and support, and my ride home sometimes.  To Coach Groover for his dedication and brilliance. To Coach Motell for his knowledge and ability to make track fun, to Coach Frazure for helping her with vault, to Quinn for doing this with her since 7th grade, and to all my awesome teammates.  Lastly she would like to remind everyone that popsicles are still available at her house whenever you want.

Quinn has been on track for six years and plans on attending St.Lawrence University to continue running and major in Biochem for Pre-Med.  Her favorite memory was the State Trip. J-Mo going to the grocery store. Stopping at Dunkin’s, and the dinner after and Chichi for being 1 of the 2 7th graders in the whole state at the meet!  She would like to thank Groover for being there everything and all the long talks, Motell for supplying a surplus of PopTarts, PB&J’ss and Go-Go Squeezes, Mr. Brooks for always seeing the potential in me and my parents coming to everything , my brothers for staying at meets to watch me and my friends and grandparents for the support.  Also thanks to Kendall for doing hair!!  Shout out to Flamingo Fridays and Motell on the bike, it will forever make me laugh.  Also. “Let’s GOOOOO” Coach Paske was her favorite quote.
