Our girls finished undefeated for the second year in a row and won the STAC East Divisional Championship for the third consecutive season by dominating Seton Catholic and outlasting Vestal in the Double Dual at home Tuesday, May 9 on Senior Night. This was our fifteenth Division Championship since CF Track and Field joined STAC in 1989. Only the Girls Soccer Team has more Divisional Championships over the last thirty-four years at Chenango Forks.
Seniors Brooke Johnson (100H, 400H, High Jump), Aubrey Bough (4 by 1, 4 by 4, Discus), Alaina Gumble (4 by 1 and 4 by4), Kathryn White (4 by 8, 4 by 4, Pole Vault), and Quinn Sirgany (4 by 8, 4 by 4, 1500, 800) led the way, each winning multiple events against Seton. Freshman McKenzie Curtis (4 by 1, Long Jump), sophomore Kayleigh Lockwood (3000, 4 by 4) and junior Kara Condon (100, 200, 4 by 1) were also able to win multiple events.
The Meet was our scheduled Senior Night and ended with a senior 4 by 400 Relay Team of A. Bough, A. Gumble, K. White, and Q. Sirgany, putting the finishing touches on the regular season, the Division, and their running careers at home.
Our Boys Team also won the Division on this night, the first time in 32 years the Boys and Girls won the Division in the same season and only the second time ever.
