Meet Recap: Norwich Dual and Podcast Announcement!

This week we had our home opener against Norwich! We used this as an opportunity to run a little bit of a different order of events in order to give athletes a chance to do some doubles that are not normally doable in a regular dual meet. The day featured many great performances. The girls got off to a great start with Gianna Lawrence winning the 100H and Quinn Sirgany leading a sweep in the 1500. Quinn bettered her time by 23 seconds from the previous week and Audra, Kathryn, and Gabe all ran season best times in the race as well. Audra came back to win the 400 with a blistering 1:07 and led a crew of Alaina, Shaylee, and Angelina all running PR’s while sweeping the events. Lauren White added a victory in the pole vault. On the boys side Ethan Howell and Bennett Howell won the Shot Put and Discus while Thomas “TK” Kapinus pulled off the 110H 400H double.

Next week we are hosting Corning and Norwich Tuesday at 4:30. There will be two spectators per athlete allowed to attend the meet. Friday we will have a limited number of athletes attending the Golden Bear Invite at Vestal. Due to Covid restrictions spectators will not be allowed to attend and the number of athletes we will be able to take is limited.

We are pleased to announce the launch of “The CF Exchange Zone” podcast! We have been looking for ways to recognize our athletes as well as providing an in depth look at our goals as well as day to day process. We are currently on Spotify and Anchor and we will be on several other platforms soon including Apple Podcasts. We are working to make it as easy as possible to listen to so if you have a preferred way for us to distribute the podcast please reach out to us! Please share with family and friends!
