The Ithaca Relays

Both the Boys and Girls continued their amazing seasons on a cold and rainy night at Ithaca on Friday, April 28 at the Ithaca Relays, with the Boys placing fifth overall and the Girls earning second place. That second place finish for the Girls is our highest placement ever at the Ithaca Relays!

The Girls were led by our Throwing Relay Team of senior Aubrey Bough and sophomore Lauren Paske who placed second in the Discus and were the champions in the Shot Put for the second season in a row.  Our girls 4 by Mile Team (freshman Mari Pourby, Eighth grader Grace Harkness, and seniors Kathryn White and Quinn Sirgany) also earned First Place T-shirts.

Mari, along with senior Brooke Johnson, were able to take third in the High Jump, while our 4 by 100 Meter Team of junior Kara Condon, freshman McKenzie Curtis, sophomore Alyssa Denton, and A.Bough also took home a third place ribbon.  A final highlight from a meet with so many was our Sprint Medley Team of G.Harkness (400 Meter leg), Q.Sirgany (800 Meter leg), K.Condon (200 Meter leg), and senior Alaina Gumble (200 Meter leg) finishing third and running the 5th Fastest Time in School History!

The Boys were by our third place finishes in the following events:
-High Jump by super sophomores Ethan Vaeleck and Nate Raab
-Triple Jump by E.Vaseleck and Eighth Grader Max Harkness
-And our 4 by Mile Team of seniors Liam Wood, Ty Near, and Dom Panko, along with junior Conway Mallory.

Other highlights included Nate Raab and his younger brother Lincoln (Eighth grade) being able to team together and place fourth in the Long Jump, while Walker Paske threw the second furthest Shot Put of the night.
