Ithaca Relays 2024
The 2024 Ithaca Relays featured 17 Teams and lasted well into the night, but Chenango Forks Track and Field came away with a number of outstanding performances:
-Kara Condon placed first overall in the Invite by running 13.05 in the 100 Meter Dash, which now ties her for second fastest in School History in the event.
-Our boys 4 by 100 Meter Relay Team, consisting of Lincoln Raab, Nate Raab, Keegan Watson, and Ethan Austin placed first in the Invite with a time of 45.23, which now places them second All Time in School History in the event.
-That same team of Lincoln, Nate, Keegan, and Ethan, came back out to place third in the 4 by 200 Meter Relay and ran the second fastest time in School History at 1:36.13. Getting on the 4 by 200 Meter Relay Top Ten List is an unbelievably rare accomplishment. It has not happened since 1993, and before that, not since 1980!
-Lauren Paske placed second in both the Discus and Shot Put and her throws of 109’8” and 34’5” are the second farthest throws in School History in each event (only trailing Hall of Famer and 1999 graduate Juile Cruty). Lauren teamed with Jillian Howell to place second in the Discus Relay, and teamed with Ali Borelli, to also finish second in the Discus Relay at the Invite.
-Our Girls Sprint Medley Team of Mari Pourby, Kara Condon, Grace Harkness, and CeCe Kasmarcik finished second overall at the Invite with a time of 4:38.07. This now places them as the fourth fastest Time in School History.
-Nate Raab tied for the highest High Jump of the evening, and he and Ethan Vasleck teamed together to win the High Jump Relay.
-Walker Paske won the Shot Put as an individual and he and Dustin Jump placed Second at the Invite.
-Nate Raab and his brother Lincoln, placed second in the Long Jump Relay.
-Ethan Vaseleck and Lincoln Raab placed fourth in the Triple Jump Relay.
-CeCe Kasmarcik placed third overall in the 400 Meter Run.
-Our Boys Sprint Medley Team of Max Harkness, Sam Paske, Zephen Tompkins, and Kellen Mulesky placed fourth overall.
-Our girls 4 by 200 Meter Relay Team of Grace Harkness, Mari Pourby, Kara Condon, and Alyssa Denton placed 6th and their time of 2:00.26 is now the eighth fastest time in School History.
-Max Harkness placed Sixth in the 100 Meter Dash with a time of 12.14.
-And lastly the brother and sister combo of Connor Little and Kendall placed fifth and sixth respectively in the 1600 and 1500 Meter Runs.
It really was an amazing night and a great warm up for our last Divisional Dual Meet on the season, this Tuesday at Waverly.
