The Fourth Annual Rotary Relays

On a perfect mid-April evening, Chenango Forks Track and Field, sponsored by the Nimmonsburg Rotarians, hosted the Fifth Annual Rotary Relays!

There were an amazing SIX Stadium Records set this evening, a feat not seen since we hosted the Class B Meet back in 1968… The records that fell were:
1) Boys 4 by 100 Meter Relay…Binghamton--43.87
Old Record was from 2019 (45.43)
This is the second fastest time in the entire State at the moment!!
2) Boys 4 by 200 Meter Relay…Binghamton--1:33.41
Old Record was from 2019 (1:35.49)
3) Boys Pole Vault…Gavin Albrecht…Tioga--14-1
Old Record was from 2022 (13’)
4) Boys Shot Put…Mack Patterson…Chenango Valley--55-6
Old Record was from 1968 (52’11”)
5) Girls 100 Meter Hurdles…Molly Walters…Chenango Valley--16.22
Old Record was from 2024 (16.44)
6) Girls 4 by 400 Meter Relay…Vestal--4:20.97
Old Record was from 1991 (4:23.7)

A special thanks goes out to our custodial staff, our Athletic Director Mr. Hogan, Larry Brooks (who volunteered his time to officiate), our own Modified Track and Field Team, the Chenango Forks Interact Club, the Nimmonsburg Rotary Club, Northern Roost food truck, and especially to our Track and Field Booster Club parents for making this meet possible!

Our teams were lead by the Girls 4 by 800 Meter Relay Team consisting of Mari Pourby, Clara Little, Katherine Yahner, and Grace Harkness as they earned first place overall! Also our Long Jump Relay Team of Nate and Lincoln Raab took first place in their event, with Nate jumping the furthest overall distance versus all competitors. Lauren Paske also threw the furthest Discus overall at the Meet.

Our boys 4 by 100 Meter Relay Team of Ethan Austin, Lincoln Raab, Max Harkness, and Nate Raab tied the School Record in their event, only .01 seconds away from owning the record outright! Their time is the fastest any Class C Team has ran the event so far in the entire State of New York!
