Indoor Track and Field State Qualifier

Congratulations to freshman Ceci Kasmarcik for breaking her own School record and finishing fourth overall in the Section in the 1000 Meter Run to earn Second Team All Section Honors at the Section IV State Qualifier at Cornell University.  Ceci also ran the anchor leg for our Second Team All Sectional 3200 Meter Relay Team, which also featured fellow freshmen Clara Little, Aubrey McMullen, and Katherine Yahner.

Congratulations also to senior Lauren Paske for making First Team All Section and qualifying for the State Meet in the Shot Put, becoming the first CF athlete to ever qualify for a Throwing Event. 

Rounding out of girls’ day, Clara Little ran her season best and placed 17th in the 1500 Meter Run, while seniors Riley Spalik in the 300 Meter Dash and Alyssa Denton in the Triple Jump finished their High School Indoor careers in style while both placing Top 20 in their events!

On the boys side, Ethan Austin placed 16th in the 55 Meter Dash, while seniors Nate Raab and Zephan Tompkins, junior Jacob Clutz, and sophomore Sam Paske broke the School Record in the 1600 Meter Relay, earning First Team All Section in the event, winning the Divisional 2 Sectional Championships for the relay, and qualifying for the State Meet this weekend on Staten Island. This relay team became the first in School History to qualify for a State Meet!
